The 29th Annual American Association of Railroads (AAR) Research Review at the MxV facility in Pueblo, Colorado last week was tremendous. The speakers all provided incredible analysis of the state of the industry as well as provided information on new technologies being tested and created. Wrapping up the event was a tour of the FAST (Facility for Accelerated Service Testing) Loop. What a facility and technologies on display! 3C Telemetry LLC was pleased to be a part of the event.
The AAR Research Review brings together technical experts from all over the world from leaders from Class I and Short Line railroads to suppliers in a variety of specialized fields. This years event puts the spotlight on the AAR’s Strategic Research Initiatives (SRI) Program. This year’s event will also feature the first in-person tour of AAR subsidiary MxV Rail’s new multi-campus research facilities.

In 2023 3C Telemetry LLC proudly joined the International Association of Railway Operating Officers Incorporated (IAROO).
The primary objective of the IAROO is to provide its members with pertinent operating and technical information that will allow them to provide superior railroad management for the future. The Association was founded in 1892 and that makes IAROO the oldest of the railroad professional associations.
Southwest Association of Rail Shippers was an incredible event! SWARS was better than advertised. Hearing some of the industry leaders provide insight into their plans for 2024 moving forward while addressing actions they have taken to make shipping via rail more economical and reliable. New railcar and rail products were on display as well and the future of shipping via rail looks exciting.
Railroads have been getting telemetry data from their locomotives since the early 1990’s. The data provides railroads with critical information for many purposes including safety, operations, maintenance, and security.
